So, here I am, knee-deep in yet another prototype. It seems I have an uncontrollable urge to create stuff. This one, however, feels particularly promising. I’m diving headfirst into developing all the gameplay logic myself, and I'm striving to keep it as clean and simple as possible.

Now, let’s get to the juicy part. Picture this: an alien spaceship has appeared in Earth's orbit, and our two bravest astronauts are dispatched to initiate communications. Spoiler alert: they don’t just sit down for tea and biscuits. Instead, they’re teleported onto the alien ship and subjected to a series of bizarre tests. It’s a 2-player game (or a single-player experience for those ambidextrous wizards out there) with a vibe reminiscent of Portal.

Gameplay Mechanics: Quantum Shenanigans

I initially envisioned a game centered around quantum entanglement, where players’ velocities would be shared. After some trial and error, it turned out to be less thrilling than I anticipated. So, I pivoted to focus on the gravity gun I’ve developed. It’s a blast! In zero gravity, firing it sends a delightful force into the player, propelling them backward.

With this new direction, I’m concocting some intriguing puzzles and interactions that revolve around gravity manipulation, quantum entanglement, and a concept I'm calling: quantum "phasing." Essentially, it’s when objects decide to play hide-and-seek based on the players’ presence or entanglement. Get ready for some brain-bending challenges that require a bit of logic and sequential actions!

Tutorial Level: Work in Progress

I’ve also managed to whip up a tutorial level-though it’s still a bit of a rough draft. Right now, it’s a tad flat, but with some polishing and the addition of a mini-game, I’m confident it will transform into something that’s not just 'okay' but um... 'out of this world'.

Main Menu: A Cosmic Touch

In a moment of mild boredom during a gaming session, I decided to craft a main menu using a space graphics toolkit. I wanted to feature a real planet, you know? It adds a little authenticity.

So, there you have it! A glimpse into my ongoing cosmic adventure. Stay tuned for more updates as I continue to navigate the stars of game development!

One of the fascinating challenges in Infinite Craft recipes is figuring out how to make specific items, especially complex ones like 'Human' or 'Life'. You start with the four classical elements and through a long chain of combinations, you can eventually create incredibly abstract or specific things. It requires a mix of logic, lateral thinking, and sometimes just happy accidents. There are communities dedicated to sharing discoveries, but the real fun is in trying to figure out these crafting trees yourself. It’s a very rewarding and mentally stimulating game.
