Making your game feel awesome

Great uses of making combat feel good without using hit stops! Another innovative technique was used in God of War (2018). They used a "sticky axe" mechanic that would use IK (from the axe to the body) to make the axe's impact feel chunky and as if it has real weight. This also made each attack look and feel different based on angles of hitting the enemy etc.
