ABOUT ME

I'm Josh - a Game Design graduate with a love for all things games. I am a self-motivated and enthusiastic team player that loves pushing myself to learn new things and improve my skills and experience. I love games with strong/fun gameplay mechanics and the levels to compliment them. With my passion in these areas, I would love to pursue a role where I am creating fun, rememberable and new experiences for players by designing levels that cater to the games core experiential objective.

RAGNARÖK

RAGNARÖK is a third person action-adventure game inspired by Norse mythology. Melee combat, magical abilities and savage finishers, use Freya's abilities to wipe out the Jotun's and save Midgard.

THE ASYLUM

Asylum if a first-person escape room with elements of horror and light storytelling through readable documents. The Asylum was my first solo 3D project, focusing on designing and implementing thematic puzzles.

PROJECT VIRUS

Project Virus is a fast-paced, third-person, neon-soaked, character action game, where the player fights a series of bosses, with a focus on meaningful and satisfying combat. The player has melee attacks, a dash and the power of telekinesis.Using these abilities the player must battle a deadly computer virus.

HACKTIVIST

A psychological thriller where players must find their way out of a strange digital realm. The game had a very small production timeline and was developed alongside two other designers.

THE FOREST

The Forest is a simple interactive experience research project. There are three identical levels using different visual language to guide the player to the end. The study aimed to determine the most efficient types of visual language at guiding players through a generic exterior level VS the easiest types of visual language to implement.

ANIMAL DASH

Animal Dash is a simple endless runner where you can unlock up to 20 animals. It was my first mobile title as I wanted to learn the publishing pipeline for iOS and Google Play.
